Was meant to appear over at http://gatezero.org, my personal blog. Sorry. 
Tom (do you have a blog Tom?) points me to jingproject. It is similar to Skitch but lets you record video and audio along with regular old screenshots.
Like skitch it integrates with its own hosting/storage service.
