  • It’s #summersolstice this Friday and I love any excuse to celebrate the seasons. So this week I’m trying to take a few deliberate moments to enjoy these long days and the coming of summer.   • Leftovers for breakfast (just #putaneggonit). Hummus, pickled red cabbage, and Acili Ezme (a spicy Turkish tomato salad that is my new favourite thing!). Cooking from @berberandq this weekend. I think my favourite part of the book is all the sauces and accoutrements!
  • Introduced Andrew to a favourite comfort food: sauerkraut soup. The recipe is a #vegan one from @isachandra though I gave A the option to add sausages to his bowl to make it more substantial (according to mom the @fieldroast Apple sage veggie sausages are good too). A small moment in making things adaptable to our different food preferences.
