My taste buds are returning back to normal, and with it, the joy of cooking and eating! I’m still not 100% – Bircher muesli, citrus fruit, black tea, alcohol and anything acidic still tastes weird. But I’m adapting. Here’s the low down on what I’ve been stuffing my face with this weekend (gotta get my strength up!):
Friday
Bircher muesli with bananas and yogurt

Veggie burger at Mildred’s Vegetarian Restaurant in Soho

Pasta with tofu “neatballs” and broccoli

Saturday
Apple crepes with Greek yogurt, honey and bananas

Leftover veggie burger with salad and raita

Spinach and mushroom taco with black beans, guacamole and corn salsa

Sunday
Cottage cheese crepes with fresh fruit

Scrambled eggs with fresh bread, steamed spinach and grilled tomato

Vegan lasagna with asparagus and salad

Grapefruit sorbet
(It would seem I can manage citrus fruit as long as its been thoroughly doused in sugar!)
