- Breakfast: Bircher muesli, Rooibos tea, and The Mosquito Coast by Paul Theroux (I am loving this book!)
- Lunch: Open-faced sandwich with vegan bolognese sauce and green pepper (kinda sorta like a meatball sub, minus the ball or the sub) plus a green salad
- Dinner: Cabbage curry and a Beck’s Bier
After all that brainstorming about recipes, I ended making something totally different last night: a cabbage curry from The New Taste of India, made with chickpeas, peas, tamarind and coconut. After it all came together I was a little worried that even a cabbage lover like me might find this a little too much, but it was actually very “morish” (Tim’s words) and the tangy broth was light and refreshing, very much like tomato rasam.
